Adds "ASX300" to Its Screw-on Insert Type Milling Cutter Series

Mitsubishi Materials Corporation Metalworking Solutions Division (President: Mirko Merlo, Address: Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku Tokyo) has announced the addition of the new “ASX300” downsized model to its ASX Series of screw-on insert type shoulder milling cutters. Sales will commence on April 1, 2026.

The ASX Series combines low cutting resistance with excellent fracture resistance, while maintaining stable performance even under high-load machining conditions. This contributes to improved productivity.

The newly developed ASX300 adopts a multi-tooth design enabled by downsizing the inserts. This allows higher table feed rates and shorter machining time. In addition, reduced power consumption contributes to lower CO2 emissions.

Main features of the ASX300

  • Multi-tooth design improves table feed and reduces machining time.

  • Improved cutting edge design provides high-quality surface finish on walls and faces.

  • Optimised cutting edge geometry enhances chip evacuation and edge strength.

  • Controlled load per tooth extends tool life.

  • Environmentally friendly design reduces environmental impact.
