This appendix (“Appendix”) supplements the Privacy Policy for the Mitsubishi Materials Metal Working Solutions Company Website (“Privacy Policy”) and sets forth, in greater detail, the information related to how we collect, use, and disclose the personal data of users in South Korea.

2. PERIODS OF RETENTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

If required to retain personal information pursuant to applicable Korean laws, such as those set forth below, we will retain personal information solely for the retention periods and purposes prescribed thereunder.

3. PROCEDURES/METHODS FOR DESTRUCTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

  • Procedures of destruction
    We select the personal information to be destroyed (i.e., personal information whose purpose of processing is achieved or whose retention period has expired) and destroy it.
  • Method of destruction
    If printed on paper, the personal information will be destroyed by shredding, incinerating, or some other similar method and, if saved in electronic form, the data will be destroyed by technical methods (e.g. Low Level Format) which ensure that the data cannot be restored or recovered.

4. PERSONAL INFORMATION OF CHILDREN IN KOREA

Regarding Article 6 of this Privacy Policy, Korean law defines children as those under 14 years of age. Therefore, if we need to collect the personal information of a child under 14 years of age, we will obtain the consent of his/her parent or legal guardian.

5. RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS AS A DATA SUBJECT AND HOW TO EXERCISE THEM

A user and/or their legal guardian may access, correct, or delete the user’s registered personal information at any time.  A user and/or their legal guardian may also withdraw consent to the collection, use, provision, or storage of personal information that the user provided in order to use the services.  Please contact Data Protection Officer if you wish to exercise any of these above rights.

6. DATA PROTECTION OFFICER

Mitsubishi Materials has designated a Data Protection Officer to handle questions and complaints related to the processing of the personal information of users in South Korea.
