October 1, 2020MITSUBISHI MATERIALS CORPORATION Metalworking solutions company (Company President : Tetsuya Tanaka Address : Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has added a steel shank boring bar with a through coolant hole to its series of chatter resistant dimple bars.
The chatter resistant dimple bar series is available with both carbide and steel shank types, but only the carbide shank type was equipped with a through coolant hole. Now, the steel shank is also available with a through coolant hole. Coolant that passes directly through the shank to the cutting edge enables a chip smooth discharge and reduces cutting heat.
In the recent years, the number of machines equipped with the facility for internal coolant has increased. To meet this demand for through coolant tools, Mitsubishi Materials has decided to introduce a steel shank type with an internal coolant hole.
Main features of the chatter resistant steel shank boring bars:
1. With an internal coolant hole, cooling fluid is supplied directly to the cutting edge, enabling a smooth chip discharge and reduces cutting heat.
2. An economical steel shank type is now available.
