New long cutting edge type for the VPX series of multi-functional cutters

MITSUBISHI MATERIALS CORPORATION Metalworking solutions company (Company President: Shinichi Nakamura: Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has added a long edge type to the VPX series of high efficiency milling cutters.

The VPX Series is a multi-functional cutter featuring a highly economical double sided insert that can handle a variety of machining styles, including ramping and helical milling. This is due to the vertical insert design that also offers superior fracture resistance during high-load machining.

The main features of the VPX long edge type

1.High-holder rigidity and security by positioning the inserts vertically.

2.Depth of cut up to 63mm can be achieved. (Ø80 mm VPX300 shell-type cutter)
