Mitsubishi Materials Corporation, Metalworking Solutions Company (President – Shinichi Nakamura, Headquarters: Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has added MC7020, a CVD grade for the WJX, a double-sided insert, high feed, radius milling cutter series.

The WJX cutter is a multifunctional cutter ideal for rough machining under high efficiency conditions.

The double-sided negative inserts with a complex-shaped flank face provides excellent economy, increased sharpness and strength.

The MC7020 CVD grade for milling of steels and stainless steels has been added to provide coverage over a wider range of applications.

Features of the MC7020 CVD grade

1. MC7020 suppresses crater wear which occurs when high speed cutting and helps to achieve stable processing during high efficiency machining.

2. Use of a specially developed cemented carbide that provides superior resistance to fracturing and thermal cracking prevents the cutting edge from sudden breakage.

3. A black super-smooth coating prevents abnormal damage such as chip welding.
