New VQT5MVRB Corner Radius End mills for High Efficiency Titanium Alloy Machining

Mitsubishi Materials Corporation, Advanced Materials & Tools Company (President – Shinichi Nakamura, Headquarters: Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has launched VQT5MVRB, a 5 flute, corner radius end mill for high efficiency, titanium alloy machining.

The VQT5MVRB is corner radius end mill enables slot milling with deep depths of cut due to the combination of 5 flutes and a centre through coolant hole.

There are 3 sizes available, diameters 16mm, 20mm and 25mm. Additionally, non-standard corner radius sizes are available by special order.

Features of the VQT5MVRB

1. The seamless joint between the corner radius and peripheral cutting edge suppresses abnormal wear and provides stable tool life.

2. Optimization of the 5 flute geometry improves chip evacuation and an ample supply of cutting fluid provides a smooth and efficient chip discharge.

3. The irregular helix controls chatter and vibration even during deep shoulder milling.
