Launch of “MP1200” Series PVD Coated Carbide Grades for Milling

The MP1200 Series adopts the newly developed multilayer PVD coating technology, "Gene-Tenax Coating". This technology achieves an excellent balance of wear resistance, heat resistance, and adhesion resistance, making it a highly versatile all-rounder grade. It delivers stable cutting performance across a wide range of workpiece materials and applications.

In addition, simulation technology has been utilized to precisely analyze cutting edge load and temperature during machining for different materials, enabling the optimal design of each grade. The series incorporates a multi-grade system that provides optimal performance depending on workpiece material and application, simplifying tool selection and ensuring stable machining.

Main features of MP1200 Series

  • New multilayer PVD coating improves wear resistance, heat resistance, and adhesion resistance

  • High bonding strength with the carbide substrate provides excellent fracture resistance and stable machining.

  • Suitable for a wide range of materials, including steel, cast iron/ductile cast iron, stainless steel, titanium alloys, and Heat-resistant super alloys.

Gene-Tenax Coating

A newly developed multilayer technology precisely controls the coating structure at the nano level. This simultaneously enhances wear, heat and adhesion resistance.
In addition, the high bonding strength with the carbide substrate ensures stable cutting performance across a wide range of workpiece materials.
