0° and 90° Types have been added to the range of GT Holders for External Grooving of Small Parts

In recent years due to the miniaturization of parts, there has been a large increase in demand for small high-precision parts processing such as E-ring grooving, which requires high groove width accuracy, and O-ring processing, which requires an excellent component surface finish.
In response to the increase in demand from the market, Mitsubishi Materials will expand the selection of GT holders for external grooving tools for shallow grooving of small parts.
The main features of GT Holder range expansion
- In addition to the 0° holder type, a new 90° holder type has been added to enable a wider variety of applications.
Newly added 90° holder
The neck dimensions have been optimised to improve resistance to chatter and vibration.
- The 90° round shank type holder can also be installed by using a drill sleeve.
