Addition of MS7025 and MS9025 Positive Inserts to the PVD Coated Carbide Grade MS Series for Turning High Precision and Small Parts

The PVD coated carbide grade MS series demonstrates excellent performance during turning of high precision and small parts that require high precision, high productivity and high quality machining. It has received excellent praise from customers who use small automatic lathes in particular.

Mitsubishi Materials is pleased to announce the addition of 32 positive inserts to the MS7025 and MS9025. The MS7025 exhibits excellent adhesion and wear resistance when low feed machining, and the MS9025 has an excellent balance of wear and fracture resistance in machining stainless steel.

Main features of MS7025 and MS9025 Positive Inserts for PVD Coated Carbide Grade MS Series for Turning High Precision and Small Parts

  1. MS7025 greatly reduces coating damage and drastically improves adhesion and wear resistance by controlling the high lubrication layer with excellent adhesion resistance and the high wear layer that suppresses wear at a nano-level.
     
  2. MS9025 has excellent chipping resistance due to the high toughness of the base material and its high thermal conductivity due to the coarse-grain WC which suppresses heat at the cutting edge. It is also effective at suppressing notch wear.
