When regrinding is necessary

Regrinding of drills is generally done according to criteria based in the table below. During mass production the tool is usually changed after a fixed number of parts or holes have been drilled. This ensures that machining stability, dimensional accuracy and surface roughness are maintained. For small batch manufacturing, management can be difficult therefore tool change and regrinding is generally based on the machine operators' knowledge and experience.
