Addition of New Cutter Bodies to the AJX Series of High Feed Radius Milling Cutters

The AJX series is an indexable insert type cutter that achieves high efficiency machining by combining a two-step straight cutting edge with a wiper edge. Since its release in 2002, the AJX series has been highly evaluated and there has been an increase in new developments of both the main body and inserts.

To meet the demand for higher efficiency, MITSUBISHI MATERIALS has added an extra-fine pitch type and a super-extra-fine pitch type that can increase the table feed without changing the feed per tooth. In addition, two diameters of 63mm and 66mm have been added to the current line-up.

Main features of the AJX series of high feed radius milling cutters

1. With the two-step straight cutting edge and wiper edge, high feed machining that cannot be reached with conventional tools is achieved.

2. By downsizing the inserts, the number of teeth per cutter is increased and machining efficiency is improved. The arbor type will have an addition of the super-extra-fine pitch type and the shank and screw-in type will have an addition of the extra-fine pitch type.

3. Extra applications can be efficiently machined by the addition of 63mm and 66mm diameter types to the arbor series.
