Drilling

Addition of Solid Carbide Drill, DFAS, for Counter Boring

The solid carbide drill, DFAS, for counter boring is a drill designed with a flat tip shape so that the bottom of the drilled hole is flat.

DFAS is also suitable for drilling on inclined or curved surfaces as well as thin plate machining, thus enabling a wide variety of machining applications.

Main features of the solid carbide drill, DFAS, for counter boring

1. Adopts “XR” point thinning that smoothly curls and rectifies chips demonstrating low resistance and an excellent chip breaking performance.

2. The unique coolant hole shape, “Tri-Cooling Technology”, increases the amount of coolant discharged without reducing the rigidity of the drill, thus achieving stable machining.

3. A flat land (gash) is provided at the corner of the cutting edge to ensure strength while the sharp cutting edge suppresses burrs.
