MH515 & BC5110

Troublesome applications made easy

Two grades are now available for the difficult application areas of turning cast iron and cast stainless steels.
MH515 is a special purpose coated carbide grade for machining cast austenitic stainless steels and ductile cast iron, materials typically found in turbo charger housings.
BC5110 is a PVD coated CBN grade ideal for machining grey cast irons such as GG25 and GG30 that are regularly found in automotive components.

Benefits

Specifications to match special applications

Specifications to match special applications

MH515

  • Longer tool life and reliability provided by the special multi layer coating
  • Increased parts per edge and lower costs when machining cast stainless steels

BC5110

  • Reduced cost per edge because of the fine grain structure and high tech coating
  • Less inventory - One grade for many applications with a selection of edge honing types

Technology

Technology creates usability

MH515

  • Nano texture coating technology Al2O3 with a TiCN base layer gives outstanding wear resistance
  • Tough grip technology enables greater adhesion between layers for a toughening effect against peeling

BC5110

  • When compared to conventional products the fine grain substrate and high CBN content of BC5110 provides stability
  • Fine detail edge honing type FS and GS deliver ideal solutions to difficult applications
